CALL FOR SPEAKERS
2024 ANNUAL CONFERENCE

The National Procurement Institute (NPI) issues this Call for Speakers to provide educational sessions during the 56th Annual Conference to be held at the Grand Hyatt Denver, Denver, Colorado, October 13 - 16, 2024. Welcome activities will occur on October 13th, with educational content delivered Sunday, October 13th through Wednesday, October 16th. The conference theme will be, “Climbing Peaks in the Pursuit of Excellence.”

NPI invites those interested in presenting a session to submit a presentation proposal for each proposed session. Preferred presentation topics include: 1) leadership in public procurement; or, 2) the pursuit of excellence in public procurement, with a focus on the subject matter of any of the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement® award criteria.

Education Program Information

Leadership and Professional Development Track
Sessions in this track hone the knowledge and skills of established leaders and lay foundations for emerging leaders. Topics might include media and public relations, change management, organizational awareness, and the attraction, development, and retention of the future pioneers of public procurement.

Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Track
Sessions in this track are focused on continuous improvement, learning from their peers about the challenges and solutions that became the basis of an organization’s successful application to the AEP criteria generally and AEP Criteria 18, Continued Pursuit of Excellence, in particular. Session Options: Keynote, General, or Breakout Session.
Session Times: 30, 60 or 90 minutes (proposed longer sessions may be split into segments)
[30-minute presentations to be combined with others in a single session will be considered]

Location: Denver, Colorado
Attendance: 110 - 150 delegates per day (estimated)

First review of submissions will begin on Friday, March 29, 2024. The submission process will remain open until the conference program is deemed complete by NPI. Submittals must be valid for 90 days.

NPI's sessions are learning experiences first and foremost, and as such must be noncommercial in content and delivery. When developing your proposal submission, make sure the content is informative and relevant, with clear and immediate application to the learner's work. Be sure the content corresponds with the applications to the job.

The NPI submission process is competitive. The Program Committee will review and evaluate each proposal and make recommendations for final selection.

Please review the information below to ensure successful submission of your proposal.

  1. Start your proposal by selecting “Start Submission.”
  2. You will be prompted to Log in.
  3. Complete all parts of the application.
  4. You can make changes up until you select "Submit".
  5. All submitters will receive an email notification that the submitted proposal has been accepted or declined after March 29, 2024.
  6. You may submit up to three (3) proposals per individual. Important Note: Individuals may present no more than 3 sessions. If you are presenting in another session as a co-presenter or panelist, that session does not count towards the 3-session limit per individual.
